We have to wait a bit longer for Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight is probably one of the most popular 2D metroidvania action-adventures available on PC and the follow-up, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is looking like it’s going to take a while longer to release.

Writing on Twitter, Matthew Griffin from Team Cherry mentioned:

Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong.

We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We’re excited by how the game is shaping up, and it’s gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.

Expect more details from us once we get closer to release.

A shame, but given how people dote on Hollow Knight, perhaps it’s best they just take all the time they need and not end up as another rushed-out release like we’ve seen recently.

More about it: “Play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song! Captured and brought to this unfamiliar world, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is the epic sequel to Hollow Knight, the award winning action-adventure. As the lethal hunter Hornet, journey to all-new lands, discover new powers, battle vast hordes of bugs and beasts and uncover ancient secrets tied to your nature and your past.”

If you’ve still somehow not played Hollow Knight you can buy it from Humble Store (50% off until May 23rd). Or from GOG and Steam.
