The Last Of Us Part 1 Sales Up 305% Week-On-Week Including Digital Copies

Christopher Dring has revealed that sales of The Last of Us Part 1 grew a whopping 305% week-on-week following the launch of The Last of Us HBO, with digital sales now taken into consideration.

The boost in sales has now resulted in Naughty Dog’s PS5 title reach no.11 in the charts, while The Last of Us Remastered sales rocketed by 337%, reaching no.16. As previously reported, physical sales of The Last of Us Part 1 jumped by 238% on the back of HBO’s adaptation of the post-apocalyptic title.

The Last of Us Part 1 was released in September 2022 for PS5 and is due out on PC later this year. The game makes full use of the hardware of Sony’s latest home console, completely overhauling The Last of Us’ environments, characters, lighting and other key areas.

Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann recently admitted it could walk away from The Last of Us unless it feels there’s more to tell, although if rumors are to believed, the studio is already working on The Last of Us Part 3.

In addition, Druckmann has previously given hope for a new entry in the horror franchise, stating he feels there’s ‘more story to tell‘ for The Last of Us.
