Please join me in urging the NHL to do the right thing! It’s reportedly considering using live alligators in events during this year’s All-Star Weekend. Alligators naturally avoid humans, so dragging them out in front of a screaming audience would be inherently cruel. The roadside zoo that the NHL is supposedly working with acquires baby alligators who’ve been torn away from their mothers and forces them into public encounters in which their mouths are taped shut.
