Seasons come and go in Fortnite pretty regularly, but Chapters are around for a long time. The game’s first Chapter wrapped things up back in Oct. 2019 after two years, and the second Chapter came to a close 2 years later in Dec. 2021. Many didn’t expect Chapter 3 to end until sometime around December 2023, but Epic has shocked fans by revealing that it’s on the way out in just a couple of weeks.
Fortnite: Chapter 3 is officially set to end on December 3rd, 2022 with the ‘Fracture’ finale event. Epic has shared absolutely no details as to why Chapter 3 is coming to a close a year earlier than many expected, but just to be clear, Epic never stated how long each Chapter would be. Many just figured Chapter 3 would be around for another year, since that’s how timing for Chapters have worked in the past.
What will Chapter 4 hold for Fortnite fans? We’ll get a glimpse of what’s to come from the Chapter 3: Fracture finale, which kicks off 4 PM ET on Dec. 3rd, 2022.
