Steam has a Turn-Based Festival going on with some great games

Love turn-based games? Well, now is your chance to stock up on a few and wishlist what might look to be some great upcoming games for you in the #TurnBasedFest on Steam.

Nowhere near as big as the Valve-run stuff directly, but these smaller events run by others are still a great way to discover some new favourites. The event runs until December 12th.

Valve still need to do better at promoting these smaller events. I often miss them completely, because they just don’t actually show up anywhere on Steam that I look. Hopefully Valve will make them easier to find.

There’s some absolute gems included that are on sale like:

Iratus: Lord of the Dead – 80% off

“Iratus: Lord of the Dead is a turn-based tactical roguelike RPG set in a dark fantasy universe. Lead an army of undead to help an angry necromancer in his quest to reach the surface world and bring death to the mortal realms!”

Pawnbarian – 50% off

“Pawnbarian is a quick-playing, turn-based puzzle roguelike. Play cards to move your hero like a chess piece, and conquer challenging dungeons full of cunning monsters!”

Templar Battleforce – 50% off

“An addictive mix of strategic combat and army building, with the precision of an RPG. Design your squad members’ exact build of equipment and talents to create unique fireteam combinations. Step into the pilot suit of a Leviathan mech, lead the Templar Knights in turn-based tactical warfare.”

Hadean Tactics – 25% off

“Hadean Tactics is a roguelike deckbuilding game fused with autobattler elements to create a unique strategy experience. Use your cards to influence the actions of your units and help your Hero defeat the Six Wings of Hell!”

Vagrus – The Riven Realms – 25% off

“Embark on a perilous journey across a realm forsaken by the gods and devastated by an arcane cataclysm. Accompanied by a hardy crew, you must trade, fight, and explore your way to success as the leader of a traveling company in Vagrus, an award-winning turn-based post-apocalyptic fantasy RPG.”

Some you might also want on your radar that will release at a later date: Sandwalkers, Diluvian Winds, Zoria: Age of Shattering, Cyber Knights: Flashpoint, Jupiter Moons: Mecha and many more.
