Splinter Cell Confirmed For BBC Radio 4 Adaptation, Begins December 2

Ubisoft’s much-neglected Splinter Cell franchise is getting an official BBC Radio 4 audio adaptation title Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Firewall.

The Radio 4 adaptation will begin on December 2, 2022 and follows protagonist Sam Fisher as he embarks on a mission to recruit and train the National Security Agency’s covert action division’s next generation of operatives. It’ll feature Andonis Anthony (Sam Fisher), Daisy Head (Sarah Fisher) as well as Sacha Dhawan, Will Poulter, and Nikesh Patel.

When a lethal assassin from Fisher’s past returns from the dead on a mission of murder, he is thrust into a race against time as a sinister threat to global security is revealed.

The BBC Radio 4 adaptation will feature eight episodes in total, each of which will be broadcast every Friday at 2.15pm. In addition, you can grab all eight episodes as a boxset from BBC Sounds from next Friday.

Fortunately, things are looking up for the video game franchise itself, with Ubisoft currently in the early stages of development on a Splinter Cell Remake.
