Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass Two drops with a Rough Landing

We love how Rebellion get right behind their games with regular new content and Sniper Elite 5 has been no different. Today Season Pass Two drops, with it hitting home with a bit of a Rough Landing.

If you’re a Sniper Elite 5 player, then you should know what to expect by now from the latest DLC drops from Rebellion. Season Pass Two follows on from the rather tasty content additions that came about via Season Pass One – Landing Force, Concealed Target, Conqueror Mission and more – to ensure that players continue scoping like there is no tomorrow.

Season Pass Two kicks off with a thrilling new campaign in Rough Landing, as well as being capable of providing access to a couple of authentically recreated weapons. There’s also the free Trench Warfare Weapons Pack that is available to all.

Accompanied by a trailer to showcase the new content (give that a watch right below these words), the Season Pass Two main event is that of the Rough Landing Mission and Weapons Pack. It’s available either via the Season Pass Two for £24.99, or as an individual option for £11.99.

Playable in both single player and co-op, Rough Landing is the latest thrilling mission in the Sniper Elite 5 campaign. it focuses on how Allied airmen have been shot down over a dense forest and are now in hiding as they are being hunted by Nazi forces. It’s down to you to find and rescue those airmen, ensuring that valuable intelligence is kept out of enemy hands.

It features thick woodland, a cramped mine shaft and a village to explore, so expect a variety of challenges, including close quarters combat.

To help you rescue the airmen you will receive two new weapons as well: the Mosin-Nagant rifle, a famously powerful and reliable Russian rifle with excellent stopping power and great stability; and the 12G Swedish Sjögren Inertia which was one of the first semi-automatic shotguns. It has a distinctive feel to its recoil, which can be controlled to deliver accurate shots at a reasonable rate of fire.

Further to that is the free Trench Warfare Weapons Pack. This brings some devastating firepower which is perfect for close quarters combat, with inclusion of the Carl Gustav M/1945 SMG, the Trench Gun shotgun and the Double 1866 pistol.

The Carl Gustav M/1945, better known as the Swedish K, was adopted in 1945, taking features from various World War 2 firearms to produce a reliable and well-balanced sub-machine gun. Firing at 600 rounds-per-minute, the Gustav provides accurate single shots, whilst also offering great control in continuous fire.

A powerful pump-action shotgun, the Trench Gun first saw use by US Forces during World Wars I & II. Fed with 12-gauge shells from its 6-round tube magazine, it sacrifices range and fire rate for extreme damage in close quarters.

And finally, the Double 1866 is a double-barrel pocket pistol designed in the 19th Century as an easily concealable backup gun that can be drawn at speed. Despite only featuring a single-action trigger and producing a very low muzzle velocity, the D.1866’s unique traits make for a powerful weapon at close range.

If you have a copy of Sniper Elite 5 to hand on Xbox, PlayStation or PC, then we’d suspect you will be hugely interested in what Season Pass Two brings, especially as a further content drop promises another campaign mission, more weapon packs and skins. You’ll find Season Pass Two on your favourite digital store – the Xbox Store being ours.
