Tim Roth is an English actor who was born in May 1961. He began acting professionally in the 1980s and got his big break in the British television movie ‘Made in Britain’, which debuted in 1982. He has worked with Hollywood’s biggest directors such as Quentin Tarantino and is known for his roles in films such as 1992’s ‘Reservoir Dogs’, 1994’s ‘Pulp Fiction’, and 1995’s ‘Rob Roy’.
Although he has appeared in award-winning studio films, Tim previously said he is more of an independent film kind of guy. ‘Basically, I think real acting can be done [in independent films], as opposed to in the studios,’ he explained, per his website. ‘Studio films are really not what I’d be good at, in the end. Because it’s got a lot to do with what you look like, as opposed to what’s going on in your head.’
Tim is married to stylist Nikki Butler and has two sons: Hunter and Cormac. Sadly, Cormac passed away in October 2022 at the age of 25 nearly one year after being diagnosed with cancer.
