Mortal Kombat 1 will bring back Smoke and Rain

Developer Nether Realm Studios keeps slowly revealing information about the next installment in the Mortal Kombat series. We already know that Mortal Kombat 1 will completely change the main storyline as we know it. It will be really exciting to see long-time antagonists like Scorpion and Sub-Zero as close allies, for example, but we are sure that not all will be love and hugs in the new world ruled by Fire God Liu Kang. After all, Mortal Kombat 1 will still be all about brutal and challenging fights.

Ninjas everywhere

The number and name of the fighters in the starting roster for Mortal Kombat 1 have been subject to speculation since the game was announced, but the latest news from NetherRealm Studios has revealed that two favorites of the fans will be part of the starting lineup. Rain and Smoke be available in Mortal Kombat 1 at launch and they will be accompanied by other iconic fighters of the series as Kameo fighters that will assist you during the fights, including Cyrax, Frost, Scorpion, and Sektor.

Mortal Kombat 1 will put at your disposal a large roster of characters to choose from, and you may even see some of them as Kameo fighters too. So far, Scorpion and Johnny Cage fit into that category. In any case, we will know more about these in the coming weeks.

The new story will surely make Mortal Kombat 1 worthy of a spot in all the video game libraries of the fans, but we are sure that the developers will also add plenty of other novelties to make the game more exciting in terms of gameplay. If you are a long-time fan of the series you may be interested in getting a special edition of the game with some extra goods.
