The studio was founded in December 2015 following Kojima-san’s acrimonious departure from Konami following completion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The team immediately went to work on its debut project, Death Stranding, which was announced at Sony’s E3 2016 press conference.
Death Stranding was released in November 2019 for PS4 and eventually made its way to the PC and PS5 in the form of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut.

Kojima has been teasing his new project for most of the year now, and at The Game Award 2022 finally lifted the wraps off Death Stranding 2. The game was all but confirmed previously by actor Norman Reedus, who starred in the first game.
Beyond this, Kojima Productions is also heavily rumored to be working on a second title known as Overdose, which is reportedly going be a horror game.
