No stopping them now! Things got hotter in Bachelor Nation when Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick kickstarted their headline-making relationship in January 2019.
The Dew Edit designer and the former banker met during an interview on Bristowe’s “Off the Vine” podcast and, shortly after going on their first date, confirmed they were dating.
News of their romance came just two months after the former Bachelorette and her ex-fiancé, Shawn Booth, called it quits on their three-year engagement.
The former pair — who met and got engaged in 2015 during season 11 of the hit reality dating series — announced their split in November 2018 in a joint statement.
“After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration,” the statement read at the time. “Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends. We have both evolved as people, which is taking us in different directions, but with the hope that we will continue to support each other in new ways. Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time.”
The Boothcamp Gym owner opened up about Bristowe’s newfound happiness with Tartick shortly after the two went public with their relationship.
“[I’m] trying to understand things right now. I guess this goes with her new relationship too. It just kind of makes me question everything that we’ve had,” Booth said during an interview on Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti’s “Almost Famous: In Depth” podcast. “So I think that’s one of the major questions that runs through my mind — just trying to understand that, which I think is tough to understand.”
The Canada native, meanwhile, moved forward with her and Tartick’s romance. Bristowe announced in May 2019 that the New York native was moving in with her in Nashville after the couple adopted their dog Ramen Noodle Vino.
In December 2019, the duo again expanded their family by adopting another South Korea-born pup, whom they named Pinot. Less than two years later, Tartick proposed to Bristowe in May 2021 while she was preparing to go on air for her podcast.
“It was everything I could have asked for,” the former dancer told Entertainment Tonight of the proposal. “The words that came out of his mouth were insanely beautiful. We’ve never locked eyes like that in our lives. We were holding hands, so intense, and I was listening to his every word, but still blacked out.”
The Dancing With the Stars winner exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2022 that she and Tartick hit a few bumps while planning their nuptials. After initially hoping for a New Year’s Eve wedding, the pair’s differing opinions caused delays.
“We’re trying to come up with ideas just because I did not know that finding a venue or picking a date would be this hard,” Bristowe explained, noting that her fiancé is “so set” on having a big ceremony.
She added: “I’m so not traditional that I’m like, ‘Why can’t we go to the courthouse?’ Because I would. He’s not down.”

Before Colton Underwood was named the Bachelor, Bristowe rooted for Tartick to take the gig following his time on Becca Kufrin’s season of the reality dating show in 2018. However, the Buffalo, New York, native and the podcast host hit it off the first time they met when Tartick was a guest on her show where he asked her out — and she, of course, said yes.

While facing adversity and having support, but facing haters, she stays true to herself,” he said on his Instagram Stories. “And let me tell you, she empowers women all over the world. … She creates a safe zone … of unorthodox behavior. … And while you create a polarizing opinion, you also create people who dislike you or hate you for it. And I give her all the credit for pushing through [and] empowering all the people she does.”

She said her “day had changed” after meeting her love. “I was crying on FaceTime to my dad when he came in. We had never met, but he hugged me, and told me he had just cried too at a charity event he came from,” she recalled. “He looked at me and said, ‘let’s have a soft Tuesday together.’”

The duo adopted a second pup, Pinot, from South Korea.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!! Ramen has a new brother . MEET PINOT,” Bristowe wrote via Instagram. “Pinot was found in a kill shelter in South Korea and @bunnysbuddies saved him. Now he has a safe home with us. I was so worried how Ramen would react… But let me tell you… You will see through my stories that these pups took to each other RIGHT away. They snuggle, and don’t leave each other’s side.”
The reality TV star went on to call Pinot a “big mushy sweet heart.”
“He’s got the SOFTEST coat, and the biggest heart,” she gushed. “I know a lot of people will ask how we will do this with traveling so much. But we will make it work. This isn’t about us. This is about giving a sweet innocent pup a new life. We will continue to do what we do, and just do it with 2 instead of 1. #adoptdontshop #GoldenRetrievers #dogsofinstagram.”

Tartick told Us exclusively that the couple is talking marriage. “Kaitlyn and I have always said no matter what happens in our relationship, however we feel, we are going to do what we think makes sense so that we feel good about it at the end of the day,” he said at the time. “Whether it’s sharing a photo, sharing our feelings, whether it’s raw, whether it’s an argument or it’s us being lovey-dovey, one thing that we’ve always done is stay true to ourselves, so we’re going to continue to do that. And the next sequence for us is that step, so it’s exciting times.”

While Bristowe told Us that she thinks Tartick is The One, she revealed she doesn’t want to get engaged amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“[It’s] the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in and [an engagement] just feels like the natural next step,” she said at the time. “I told him I don’t want to [have a] quarantine engagement. [I want] a little more romance than just at the house. … I always say anyone who gets through this quarantine together, as a relationship, should get married.”

Bristowe revealed during an episode of the “I Don’t Get It Podcast” that she had written a love song for Tartick.
“I’ve recorded and written — well cowrote — five songs. This is my sixth and I honestly feel like I contributed the most to this song, like,I feel like I really did write it. And, obviously, I’m not a musician so I need a cowriter and people who know how to write chords and do the music part of things. So I wrote with this girl named Rachel and she is an incredible pianist and we just, like, sat, it was eight hours,” she said. “I took eight hours to write the song and I’m so proud of it and I love it so much. I sang it to Jason, like, a few, maybe like two weeks ago and he was like teary-eyed and it was like, I just can’t even wait to record it and let people hear it cause I’m like, that’s a good one.”

The couple opened up about what they fight over on an episode of “Whine Down” with Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin.
“I like things a certain way and I feel like, even with dogs, I have this motherly instinct and I feel like sometimes Jason can’t do things right, where I’m like, ‘How do you not know to do that?'” she began. “I feel like that’s gonna be when we have kids, that I’m going to need to be aware of how hard I am on you because I’m gonna think, like, I have motherly instincts and I know what to do and I’m gonna worry about how you’re gonna do it.”
Tartick added: “We get into a lot of arguments of, like, what is right or wrong for the dogs. I think that’s where we’re both hard-nosed with where we believe on certain things. Like, you’ll be like, ‘You always think you’re right.’ And I’ll be like, ‘Well, you say that.’ But we do find ways to comprise. Because if you can’t compromise, it’s not gonna work. So, it’s gotta be give and take and you pick and choose your battles — that’s what I’ve learned at least.”

After giving an emotional DWTS performance in honor of her late childhood friend, Bristowe raved over Tartick’s never-ending support. “Jason is literally the most supportive human being on the planet,” she told Us at the time. “He’s such a logical thinker and I’m such an emotional thinker that sometimes it’s hard for him to separate the two. But this week he’s been really, really good at being there for me emotionally and just understanding and telling me what I wanted to hear. He’s been absolutely incredible.”
Though she said the coronavirus pandemic would make it “hard to celebrate” a potential mirrorball win, she already picked out the perfect place for it in her and Tartick’s home. “I’m gonna put it on the top of my [Christmas] tree,” she teased.

We will be ok.”

After accidentally sparking rumors that she and Tartick had called it quits, Bristowe insisted that she was still “Taken AF” — but not quite “Engaged AF.” The banker poked fun at his girlfriend’s social media fail, teasing in the comments of her Instagram post, “OMG Kait — stirring things up like macaroni in a pot.”

The couple announced their engagement via social media. “It was everything I could have asked for,” Bristowe told Entertainment Tonight of the proposal. “The words that came out of his mouth were insanely beautiful. We’ve never locked eyes like that in our lives. We were holding hands, [it was] so intense, and I was listening to his every word, but still blacked out.”
The bride-to-be added that Tartick popped the question while they were filming an episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast in Nashville. “Jason’s like, ‘Kaitlyn, we’re not doing a podcast,'” she recalled. “And I’m like, ‘You forgot to hit record, didn’t you!’ He was like, ‘No, this is something else,’ and he got up and I saw him bring out a ring box from the drawer.”
The former Bachelorette previously thought that her now-fiancé would plan something more elaborate for his proposal, but said she was happy that it happened the way it did. “I actually thought he was going to do it maybe in Mexico, on the beach, and I would have saw it coming,” she told ET. “I really wanted it to be intimate, so I loved that it was just during our podcast.”

Tartick clapped back at fans who criticize Bristowe’s looks. “I don’t know why people think it’s OK to say the s–t they do on Twitter,” he shared during the “Click Bait With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “There’s so many things in this world we can control, and there’s so many things we can’t control. Our looks and things like that are most of the things we can’t control. And the way that people make comments, nasty comments, about people’s appearances — and obviously, specifically, I’m referring to Kaitlyn. It’s grotesque. It’s a joke.”
