Jun Kazama Is Featured In The Latest Tekken 8 Gameplay Trailer

The latest gameplay trailer for Tekken 8 trailer has been revealed and features the well-known series character Jun Kazama. Tekken 8 marks the character’s first proper appearance since her debut in Tekken 2. She since had appeared in minor cameo roles and references throughout the mainline Tekken games. Other than that, she was also featured prominently in the spin-offs Tekken Tag Tournament, its sequel, and Tekken Revolution.

Jun Kazama is in the long line of playable Tekken 8 characters to receive gameplay trailers. Other characters that received trailers include Marshall Law, Nina Williams, Jack-8, and Paul Phoenix.

Tekken 8 – Jun Kazama Gameplay

In the gameplay trailer, we see Jun use the traditional Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts in action, which was passed down in her family for generations. Moreover, it seems that the moveset she is using in the trailer is similar to her Tekken Tag Tournament 2 moveset.

We then see her meet with Kazuya Mishima, who is the father of her son Jin Kazama. Throughout the mainline Tekken games, the whereabouts of Jun Kazama were unknown which is why Kazuya was surprised at her being alive in the trailer. Moreover, it is unclear if she has a prominent role in the game’s story or if she is just a playable character. But, with her returning as a playable character after more than two decades, fans can surely rejoice.

The release date of Tekken 8 has not been announced yet. But, a time between late 2023 to early 2024 is a high possibility. The game will release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
