I am Batman! A new trailer and release date for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League goes live

One of the most anticipated titles of 2023 – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – has finally received new information in the form of a cinematic trailer, with the release date for the game also making itself known.

And that all important date is May 26th, 2023: it’s not too long now until we can take control of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark as they form the Suicide Squad, and are tasked with taking down a corrupt Justice League. And we aren’t talking corrupt in the financial backhander sense, no! Members of the Justice League, including The Flash, Superman and now Batman have been mysteriously turned into monstrous killing machines. So, hopefully, it’ll make it a bit easier to finally put the bullet in Batsy’s brain.

The trailer found below, which aired at the recent Game Awards 2022 shows off the latest (and perhaps greatest) member of the Justice League that the Squad will be shooting up in this third-person action shooter. Voiced by the late, great Kevin Conroy who passed away last month – he who provided the famous Batman voice in Batman: The Animated Series and the Arkham games – the trailer shows off a characteristically moody Batman taking the gloves off and getting down to the killing.

The Suicide Squad are, unsurprisingly, a bit perturbed by this, providing the humorous quips that the likes of Harley Quinn, a boomerang-wielding psycho and a human-shark mutant that will be aplenty in the main game. By all means, check out this trailer – it’s a good one!

In a gameplay sense, whilst The Game Awards announcement did not provide much in this department, what we do know is that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a frantic, vibrant shooter that has its four stars at its core, each with their own unique abilities. It can be played as a solo player, or in co-op with up to four players.

Get those dates put down in the calendar – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC on May 26th, 2023.

We’ve extremely high hopes for what Warner Bros and Rocksteady Studios manage to create with this one.
