Although Evil West is not the first game that offers an unusual combination of Wild West and supernatural themes, the creators of the Shadow Warrior series reboot have used all their experience in the action genre to give birth to an experience that is already catching the eye of many players. The idea of exploring a world consumed by darkness where the solution to every conflict lies on the tip of a gun sounds quite exciting, especially if you are the one wielding that gun. The act of slaying vampires and hunting down evil-looking monsters is nothing new in video games, but it takes a new and interesting shade when looked through the lens of Flying Wild Hog in Evil West. The game promises third-person action to the boot and the developer is ready to show it with a new overview video.
Gunslingers vs vampires
Evil West introduces Jesse Rentier, a sanctioned and seasoned vampire hunter that works for an organization dedicated to exterminating supernatural threats. Unfortunately, a vampiric conspiracy has delivered a deadly blow to his organization, and as one of the few survivors, Jesse sets on a mission to claim vengeance. This Van Helsing of sorts leaves aside holy water and crosses to use a wide array of guns and other menacing-looking instruments of death to reduce bloodsucking monsters to ashes. You can gather plenty of new weapons as you progress in the game. Each of them can be enhanced through individual skill tree and you can combine them however you please to create your own playstyle.
As you can see in the video, Evil West features exciting combats and awesome-looking visuals while allowing you to immerse in an intense story that will pit Jesse against all kinds of evil creatures in the American frontier. The release of the game is scheduled for November 22 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
