With just under two months to go until Dead Island 2 is released worldwide, Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver unveil an extended look at gameplay, kicking off the action at the very beginning of the game in Bel Air, Los Angeles.
Armed with an array of weapons, each with its own unique, brutal fighting style and endless opportunities for upgrades, slayer Dani meets Standard zombies (Walkers, Shamblers, Runners), Variant (grenadier walkers), and Apex (hypermutated zombies), all with unique powers and behaviours.
Hailing from the mosh pits of County Cork, Ireland, Dani’s unique slayer characteristic – tenacious yet balanced – is well-suited to an agile style of combat. Her mission? To get to the Halperin Hotel.
Players will also see how tapping into curveballs and combining a powerful set of Skill Cards, enhancing abilities and tailoring to style of play, assist Dani as she hacks and slashes her way through the first part of the game.
Dambuster Studios’ dismemberment tech – known as FLESH (Fully Locational Evisceration System for Humanoids) – means crushing bones, slices zombies and melting flesh has never been so satisfying.
As an infected, but somehow immune slayer, finally witness what happens when the slayer activates their corrupted DNA and triggers Fury Mode.
