CrossfireX, the first-person shooter video game developed by Smilegate Entertainment, has planned to shut down all services on May 18th, citing the game’s failure to meet expectations.
CrossfireX is the third installment in the Crossfire series, published in February 2022 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Throughout its publication, CrossfireX has received “mostly unfavorable” reviews. CrossfireX was even ranked as the second-worst game of 2022 by Metacritic. Now, just almost a year after its launch, Smilegate Entertainment has decided to terminate all CrossfireX services.
