Assassin’s Creed Mirage Gameplay Takes the Title to its Roots

Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay was finally revealed at today’s PlayStation Showcase. The upcoming AC game from Ubisoft takes the title to its Middle Eastern roots and provides it with what had been missing for years. The gameplay is very reminiscent of the original titles and impresses.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Gameplay Puts a Strong Emphasis on Stealth

Stealth seems to be the headline from the Assassin’s Creed gameplay. In the earlier AC games, stealth was the major point that made the assassins as deadly as they are. However, in the recent titles that focus got a bit wavered. But, now the return of Basim, marks the franchise’s journey back to its roots. You can watch the trailer below:

We see Basim sneaking through various areas assassinating guards and foes on the way, The skillset is very recognizable with some additions. Even the parkour feels very much like the OG AC games and we don’t say that in a bad way. If anything it reminds us of AC3 and Unity, which are two of the strongest in the franchise. In fact, that was what had been missing in the franchise, and we are glad Ubisoft is listening to the fans.

As for the visuals, they look quite good for a title that is cross-gen. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available for pre-orders on the PlayStation 4, and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game launches on October 12, 2023.
