Aragami maker Lince Works is closing down

The creator of the Aragami series of games, Lince Works, is closing its doors.

The news was announced on Twitter, in a post that explained that it would be halting development on new projects in April. This is due to the economic conditions the world is facing right hnow, which put cold water on Lince Works’ attempts to make new IP.

“It breaks our hearts to know that all the work we have done for the past year will ultimately not come to a completion,” the studio wrote.

“We will always be grateful to our community and players around the world. Your loyalty and passion for our games have been out driving force and we cannot thank you enough for the invaluable support you have shown us throughout these years.

“We would also like to express our appreciation to our incredible team, who have worked so hard on bringing our games to life. It is with a heavy heart that we have to separate our ways but we know that they will continue to bring their talent and passion to the industry in the future. We will do our best to help them find the best place to continue their career.”

Lince Works was founded in Barcelona back in 2014. It is best known for its Aragami series, which debuted in 2016 with a sequel coming five years later. The developer has said that both titles will remain on storefronts and their co-op modes will still be accessible.
