Apex Legends Season 15 “Eclipse” will be officially launched on November 1, delivering a new legend, an in-game gifting system, a new Battle Pass, and now, a new map that will introduce some new features as well.
If you have been following the Apex Legends leaks since Season 14, you have probably seen the leaked footage for a map set on the moon. Well, that was indeed a work-in-progress project for Season 15, which is now known as Broken Moon, the fifth map in Apex Legends.
In Broken Moon, you will find new transportation means known as Zip Rails. In theory, Zip Rails are similar to Zip Lines, but the main difference is the fact that Zip Rails provide much faster and longer transportation between two points of interest. Also, Zip Lines are only used for the vertical traverse, but Zip Rails are capable of both vertical and horizontal transportation. Similar to Zip Lines, Zip Rails will still allow you to use your weapons and stay in combat mode.
Broken Moon will feature 14 points of interest in a diverse set of terrains. From beautiful gardens with trees and flowers to rocky deserts with research bases. Also, there are some big structures on the different parts of the map that can serve as a great strong point for teams, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get flanked. Aside from adding a new map, Season 15 introduces Catalyst as a new Legend who will use her control over ferrofluid to defend herself and change the tide of war. The gifting system is another new feature in the season of Eclipse that will allow players to buy in-game items like skins as gifts for their in-game friends. The system will be activated right after the new season’s launch, but players should be in-game friends for at least two weeks to be able to send or receive gifts.
