343 Industries To Continue Developing Halo

343 Industries has been a massive topic of the industry recently, being one of the companies, notorious for massive layoffs. Recently reports emerged that 343 will quit developing Halo themselves but will oversee outside development. However, the studio has negated the news and stated that they indeed will continue making Halo now and in the future.

343 Industries will Keep on Developing Halo

In a recent statement on Twitter, studio head, Pierre Hintze revealed that they will ‘Continue to develop Halo now and in the future, including epic stories, multiplayer and more of what makes Halo great.’ This has come to light after the news of major layoffs by Microsoft including Xbox Game Studios, The Coalition, 343 Industries, and Bethesda were made.

Moreover, another major controversy going around is the working environment at 343. Various developers have recently started coming out to reveal nightmare work conditions at the studio.

The Franchise is on a Bumpy Ride

This is no big secret that the once fan-favorite Halo series has been on the decline for quite some time now. The last critically acclaimed game in the series came in the form of 2010’s Halo: Reach by Bungie Inc. After that the series was handed over to 343 industries and it kind of lost its momentum. 2021’s Halo Infinite is one of the best examples of how Halo has been for quite some time now.

The information revealed by 343 with their latest statement is quite scarce and leaves a lot of room for speculation. Fans of the franchise are eager to know more about it and we hope the studio makes things more clear in the future. Halo is undoubtedly one of the most major names to ever exist in Microsoft’s history and we all wish that they can somehow restore the title back to its glory days.
